CATCH REPORTS
All the lakes are now completely defrosted and are all open as usual.
The specimen lake has fished really well since it has defrosted especially since friday night. Local angler Dave has had 10 fish to 22lb12oz including a Bream at 10lb. 6 other carp have been out other than this ranging from 9lb to 16lb 6oz. The slightly milder weather, as well as good angling!,has perked things up a bit after a very slow couple of months. We will keep you updated as to what is caught tonight ( sat ) and sunday.
Good News - Eric has reduced ticket prices from Monday 5th December. Prices are as follows:-
All Day Tickets ( up to 3 rods ) £5
24 hours ( up to 3 rods ) £12
These prices are valid for Dec, Jan and Feb and no concession tickets are available. Please note that Match entry prices remain the same.

Eric has had planning permission granted for a cafe/tackle shop and toilets overlooking the specimen lake. There is no expected start date for the work to start as of yet.
We will keep you updated for 2012 restocking details nearer Spring
The Match on a Tuesday recently set up and organised by John is seeing a welcome increase in numbers. About a dozen anglers are taking part at the moment and John and the other anglers would welcome anyone who would wish to fish on a Tuesday on the Match lake. The draw for pegs is at 10am. Please ring Eric Taylor( 07976292745 ) if you require any further information or just turn up for 10am in the main car park.John has been doing a lot of work on the match lake and it is really looking the part.
Please ensure that you read the rules before entering the fishery - make sure you have an adequate landing net, unhooking mat and appropriate 15lb minimum line please.
Whilst we appreciate that bins are not provided around the fishery we have had a recent spate of people leaving rubbish on the pegs. Please could you take your rubbish home with you or alternatively bag it up and deposit it in the car park bin. This will free up the baliffs to improve the fishery and not spend their time collecting rubbish!

A new pricing list is now in operation from March 1st 2011 and is now available on the prices page.
The fishery is sporadically checked throughout the night and we would be grateful if you can have your ticket to hand to show the night baliff. All anglers MUST be in possession of a ticket issued by the baliff. Please remember that anglers must also be in possession of an Environment Agency Rod License or two if you are fishing more than two rods. The fishery is checked regularly by the Environment Agency.
May we remind anglers that you are responsible for your peg therefore please take your rubbish home with you. Please dont spoil your fishery!! If you see any suspicious behaviour regarding illegal fishing on the fishery you can report it confidentially to the baliff, Eric Taylor or call the confidential Environment Agency helpline on 0800 80 70 60.

NEW FISH STOCKED 17/2/11 and 19/3/11
The Specimen lake has had 20 carp stocked ON 17/2/11, mainly mid doubles with a few low doubles aswell, purchased from one of the Uk's well renound fish farmers, Sport and Leisure Fisheries in Shropshire
http://www.slf.uk.net/ . The fish are about 3/4 years old and should put on some weight quite quickly over the next couple of years and turn into beaufiful large fish. As you can see in the photos below, of some of the fish stocked in February, they are all deep bodied fish with large shoulders and look to have great potential.These fish have been separated through the farming process as exceptionally fast growers. The Match lake has benefited from a stocking of 1000 6/8 inch carp also on 17/2/11. This should help with weights as 450 were also introduced in autumn last year.
